This is Dr. Hashimoto—your trusted specialist for under-eye treatments.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of performing more than 6,000 under-eye procedures, helping countless patients restore a youthful, refreshed look.
They say “quantity leads to quality,” and I believe this wholeheartedly. With daily experience, I’ve refined my technique to deliver shorter procedure times, minimal swelling, and optimal outcomes.
Today, I’d like to introduce two treatments for under-eye bags: 🔹 Non-surgical “Three-Mix Method” 🔹 Surgical Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty
👁 Why the Eyes Reveal Your Age
Did you know that the eyes are the No.1 area people notice when guessing someone’s age?
In aesthetic medicine, we often rank facial features by how much they reveal aging:
Top 5 Age-Revealing Features:
Eyes (eyelids, dark circles, wrinkles)
Mouth area (nasolabial folds, marionette lines)
Jawline (sagging, volume loss)
Forehead & glabella (expression lines)
Skin texture (dullness, enlarged pores)
The eye area shows aging first due to:
Very thin skin
Minimal fat glands or sweat glands (prone to dryness)
Orbital fat pushing against a thin membrane (orbital septum), which weakens with age
This leads to:
Protrusion of orbital fat
Discoloration from vascular visibility (red/dark circles)
Under-eye bags caused by skin sagging
💉 What is the Three-Mix Method?
Developed by Hashimoto Clinic, this is a minimally invasive, non-cutting treatment that effectively improves under-eye bags with minimal downtime.
Three key steps:
Fat removal from the inside of the lower eyelid (transconjunctival approach)
Thermal tightening of the orbital septum to prevent recurrence
Regenerative therapy using stem cell-derived serum or thread lifting to stimulate collagen and skin rejuvenation
Cost: ¥264,000 Downtime: 2–3 days Side effects: Mild swelling, risk of hematoma or infection
✅ Great for: mild sagging, dark circles, early signs of aging
🔍 Case Example – Three-Mix Method
Before & After: Under-eye bags were visibly reduced, and the entire eye area looks brighter and more youthful. Patients often report feeling more confident and refreshed.
✂️ What is Surgical Lower Eyelid Bag Removal?
When patients have significant skin sagging or fine wrinkling, surgery may be the best option.
This approach includes:
Transconjunctival fat removal
Skin excision (cutting under the lash line)
Careful separation between skin and orbicularis oculi muscle to reduce fine wrinkles
Stitches removed in 5–7 days, with most swelling and bruising resolving in 2 weeks.
Many clinics under-stitch this area, but I use very fine, meticulous suturing—and the result is nearly invisible scars.
Cost: ¥440,000 (tax included) Side effects: Infection, hematoma, wound separation
📸 Case 1: Male, 70s
Concern: Under-eye bags + skin laxity Treatment: Surgical lower eyelid procedure 1 month post-op: Bags gone, skin tightened. Combined with a hair color refresh, the patient looked like he was in his 50s! He was extremely satisfied—and the scar was barely visible.
📸 Case 2: Female, post-non-surgical treatment at another clinic
The patient had undergone transconjunctival fat removal a year earlier but returned due to persistent skin sagging. We performed surgical blepharoplasty, and within 1 month, the results were dramatic—a firmer, younger under-eye area.
📸 Case 3: Female, 60s
This patient presented with fine lines and skin laxity but no significant fat protrusion. Injectables or non-surgical methods were unlikely to help, so we opted for a surgical approach. Post-op: Dramatic improvement in sagging and fine wrinkles.
